N.B. Attachment Theory
Attachment theory emphasises how early life experiences can shape the manner in which we view ourselves, relate to others, and respond to stressors in life.  Attachment theory therefore provides a useful therapeutic framework for understanding a vast number of psychological difficulties such as post traumatic reactions, problems with impulsive behaviours, and emotion regulation difficulties.

Therapeutic Approach

Amber has trained in a range of evidence-based treatments. These include Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Dialectical-Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Mindfulness.

Medicare Rebate

As a Clinical Psychologist, Amber can provide rebates of $124.50 per session through Medicare. N.B. You need to obtain a Mental Health Plan from your GP to be eligible for this rebate.
